# 7.3 Marker

![Marker Added](/files/DMRxLFwyIyzV0u1xAbne)

The user can place a marker on the map to check the latitude and longitude of the located points. You can rename the marker, and give the description to the particular marker. Select and deselect options are also available for selecting the specific marker. No restrictions on how many markers will be there.

The advantage of using a marker is that you can co-relate the latitude, and longitude of the with the marker of known position.
